Hi Friends & Welcome to the DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) Mind & Body Nutrition Workshop Group!
Purpose:
The connection of gut-brain-nutrition research continues to grow. These workshops are created to build space and energy for community, connection and conversations about engaging nutrition & wellness topics. We will discuss strategies to re-train the brain by using mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques and education to form healthy behavior change and to prevent and manage a variety of health conditions.
Who Should Join:
If you or a family/friend has diabetes, prediabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, gut health issues, anxiety, depression, weight concerns, or want to learn more about lasting nutrition behavior change, this group is for you.
If you have a family history or believe you are at risk for developing any of the above conditions or are a person/people of color, this group is for you.
Why?
These workshops are intended to help you identify your emotional connections to foods, triggers, and ways to become more aware of the choices you can make to improve your health and quality of life.
You will leave with self-awareness skills, emotional-regulation tools and nutrition knowledge to become a more confident and healthy version of you. It will be a fun opportunity to share, learn and connect with others! *New workshops will be uploaded soon!*
