Do you care about animals? This is the community for you! 🐶🐷🐮🐔🐱🐟
We are a community of hundreds of activists all around the San Francisco Bay Area! We host event to directly help animals such as animal sanctuary volunteer days and pigeon destringing. We also host events to advocate for social change and animal rights like out weekly Saturday Morning Meetups, protests, marches, and conferences!
Our community is growing every day, join us! Our events and community are open to anyone and everyone who cares about animals! So if you are vegan, an animal rights activist, vegetarian, or just interested in learning more, then you are welcome here!

Meetup: Who Should be on Core? You Decide! Candidates Panel and Q&A
2414 6th St, Berkeley, 2414 6th St, Berkeley, CA, USJoin us at this Saturday’s Meetup to hear from the organizers who are running to be on the Core leadership team of DxE. Candidates for Core include: Zoe, Matthew, Suzzy, Kitty, and Cassie. Almira is running for lead organizers and Alex is running for secretary. Everyone who is running will be at this Meetup in order to answer questions from the community and discuss ideas or suggestions folks may have.
Fresh coffee, tea, and a delicious plant-based brunch will be provided at the Meetup as well!
Where: Berkeley Animal Rights Center West (2414 6th St, Berkeley)
When: Saturday, February 14th 11am-12:30pm
What: Community hangout and presentation- ARC West is a 30 minute walk from North Berkeley BART and only a 10 minute walk from the 51B bus stop at University and 6th St.
- Dogs that like other dogs are welcome at this event!
- There will be plant-based brunch and coffee, donations accepted

Sanctuary Mixtape Workday

Spend the day getting dirty, doing good, and helping rescued animals thrive. From mucking stalls to fence repairs to loving on the residents—there’s something for everyone.Sunday, February 22nd at 10am sharp for a quick rundown and task assignments.
Carpooling is encouraged—email carla@dxe.io if you need or can offer a ride.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (jeans are great). No open toed shoes. Bring a water bottle, work gloves, and a face mask if you have them (things can get dusty). Snacks and food provided but feel free to bring your own (especially if you have allergies).
