Dear Stanford

Ridglan Farms Inc. is a company that breeds beagles for use in laboratory and university experiments. The conditions at Ridglan have been exposed by animal rescuers who are facing trial next month. They referred to Ridglan Farms as “a factory farm for dogs” and found rows upon rows of stacked cages with frantic beagles confined to live on wire floors causing soar and swollen paws, a lack of enrichment causing severe adverse psychological behaviors, and pungent air from a lack of windows or ventilation. Stanford University has previously purchased beagles from Ridglan Farms for research, research which likely resulted in nothing but tortured dogs. The conditions at Ridglan do not align with Stanford's stated standards. As a result, we plan to submit a letter to the Research Compliance Office.

Dear Stanford, please commit to no longer using Ridglan Farms as a supplier, ever again.
