Animal and Nature Lovers' Hike
Details
Join fellow nature-enthusiasts and animal advocates for a moderate, 2.3mile, out-and-back hike in Leona Heights Park. We will explore York Trail, winding a gradual incline along the stream, past waterfalls, and over bridges, all the while under the canopy of majestic redwoods. At our halfway point, we will pause for snacks and a relaxing break while enjoying the scenic views overlooking the the city and the bay. After our hilltop hangout, we'll head back (all downhill) back to the trailhead.
Logistics:
CLOTHES: Wear layers, shoes compatible with outdoor activity, and sun protection.
WATER: Hydration is IMPORTANT--please remember to bring your OWN water.
FOOD: Snacks will be provided.
PARKING: Space at the trailhead is off-road parking and extremely limited. Plan to carpool.
