Big Trees Trail Hike and picnic

Join us for an afternoon on the Big Trees Trail in the Oakland hills. We'll do a moderate hike under the redwoods — some elevation and uneven footing, but nothing technical, and we'll keep a pace that lets the group stay together and talk along the way. Expect about two hours on the trail.

Afterward we'll spread out for a picnic. I'll bring food to share, and you're welcome to bring your own or something to add to the spread.

What to bring: water, sturdy shoes, a layer (it gets cool under the trees even on warm days), a blanket or something to sit on, and food if you'd like.

When: Saturday, September 19, 2 pm
Where: Big Trees Trail, Oakland — search the trail name to find it. There's parking at the trail entrance, and bathrooms there too.

New folks are very welcome. Come as you are and bring a friend.
