What we’re about
This one is for the enthusiasts that love a spirited weekend drive on a beautifully twisty country road. Half the fun is getting there while the other half is socialising with a diverse range of people that love their cars, the outdoors, and discovering the quaint and sometimes quirky cafes and eateries hidden away in interesting destinations.
Passengers are welcome, as long as they don’t ask - ‘are we there yet?’ However questions like, can we do that bit of road again please, are encouraged! Drivers club welcomes all enthusiasts and cars. This is your chance to get your pride and joy buffed and out on a sunny Sunday (we are talking cars here) and yes, the event will typically be on a Sunday.
This is not meant to be typical car club meet where the focus of every discussion is cars, cams and tyres. Yes it can be a point of discussion, but drivers club values your sharing of other interests and life experiences.
Meet ups may include; cheese and wine tasting in a special little spot, a lunch and chill on a lush green lawn with a spectacular coastal view or a blues band in a quaint country pub.
As a typical member you love cars, in particular cars that are fun to drive on a twisty road. You own or aspire to own a performance oriented car and you love to go for a drive just for the fun of driving. You may even watch an episode of a car show like Top Gear. Some may even find it thrilling to go for a high speed hot lap around a race track. :)
The drivers club advocates safe and responsible driving. Irresponsible and unpredictable driving will not be tolerated. Your vehicle must be roadworthy.
