Sacramento - American River Trail to Folsom & Back

Oh yea, you know what I'm thinking about- a day on the river, on e-bikes, riding in the heat, stopping to eat, chatting it up and swimming in the warm waters and hydrating and enjoy the views. It's got me thinking about Mark Twain and Gold Country and Ebikes and fun times.

Saddle up and let's ride and swim too! For real this time in the river.

All day ride. 50 miles round trip starting at the State Capitol front steps and riding out to Folsom and back. There's just a little elevation at the end and other than that should be a walk in the park, particularly compared to our recent Sonoma ride.

20 of the 25 miles are on protected bike lane by the river (no cars).

Who knows what we'll see on this ride?

It is a long one though, so please have a good range bike, or bring your charger or a spare battery if you don't think your bike can make the full 50 miles round trip. As usual- come in good spirits, with a smile on your face and be ready for some adventure. Bring lots of water and always have a back-up plan in case your bike stops working or you poop out. Don't bring any pets too.
