June Community Night - Leon Poggioli and Sanam Makadia + Peter Lake
June Community Night - Leon Poggioli and Sanam Makadia + Peter Lake
Hello friends, This month we will (finally!) be an entirely standalone community event, not for profit and volunteer run. We have booked a large event space in the Multicultural Hub across from Vic Market. Pizza and beverages will be graciously funded this month by Dragos, but we would really love to see other food and beverage sponsors in the future. **We can also really use additional volunteers to watch the door, help carry in food and drinks, or help with set up or clean up. Please send us a message if you're able to help.** This event will survive if people are involved and want to make it survive! Cheers, Lesley **Talk 1: A practical methodology to secure critical infrastructure** OT Cybersecurity is current in a “perfect storm scenario”. This is due to: ● Increased OT automation ● Increased regulation ● OT cyber maturity lags IT cyber maturity ● OT cyber risk impacts safety and production While many large organisations are well-resourced with dedicated teams, smaller organisations who aren’t able to appoint a dedicated OT Cybersecurity leader often struggle to deliver an effective OT Cybersecurity uplift program. This talk outlines why practical, lightweight approaches to complicated scenarios suit most critical infrastructure organisations and how such an approach would work in practice. **Speaker:** Leon Poggioli is the founder of NetSeg, an advisory organisation focused on consulting around OT Cybersecurity Strategy and Program Development. He founded NetSeg after recognising that many organisations with OT Cybersecurity obligations don’t have the necessary knowledge and experience to drive a program which requires different capabilities and stakeholders than IT Cybersecurity programs require. OT Cybersecurity is in a “perfect storm” - with increased OT automation and connectivity increasing the attack surface, increased regulations, not to mention the fact that any organisation with an OT network likely relies on that network to conduct their core business! Before founding NetSeg, Leon was the Australia New Zealand Country Manager for Claroty, one of the Gartner leaders for CPS (Cyberphysical Systems) Protection Platforms, and worked with a wide range of Australian and New Zealand organisations to drive their programs using Claroty’s technology. Leon also has a YouTube channel @NetSeg_IO where he shares short-form videos on a range of OT Cybersecurity topics. He has also been featured several times on Australian television and talkback radio. **Talk 2: Managing a Crisis in Critical Infrastructure -** **Incident Command System** Critical infrastructure is increasingly exposed to cyber-physical threats impacting essential services like energy, water, and transportation. This session introduces ICS4ICS, a proven incident response framework adapted for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT). It enables IT, OT, and cybersecurity teams to collaborate with clear roles, shared language, and coordinated response during high-impact incidents. Attendees will gain practical insights into managing cyber incidents that can escalate into physical disruptions, improving resilience and response effectiveness. Designed for cyber, natural, and accidental events, ICS4ICS supports cross-sector and public-private coordination. **Speakers:** Sanam Makadia • Cyber Security Architect and Advisor • Thought leader and advisor with more than 2 decades of experience in design, consulting, architecture, Risk and Governance • Interest in topics such as Cyber strategy, GRC, operational technology/industrial control systems (OT/ICS) and robotics & artificial intelligence (AI) Peter Lake • Cybersecurity Strategy Lead and CTF coach • Passionate about capacity building for neurodivergent young people, coaching, and building Cybersecurity career pathways. • Keen interest in critical infrastructure, space cyber awareness, incident response and management.

You are warmly invited to this immersive evening of Authentic Relating. This event will involve fun and interactive exercises based around exploring the theme, "What is like to be in connection with myself and others?" This is a space for exploring feelings, sensations, boundaries, and self-expression through immersive exercises. This is about empathic collaboration and learning the art of expressing what is present in the moment. These beautiful practices really encourage an experience of increased depth and awareness, in a way that is sometimes not available in our everyday lives. The exercises work by creating a framework to explore communication in a non-scripted, in the moment way, which edges away from habitual patterns of relating and welcomes in more life, more breath, and more empathy. One of the benefits of practices, is that it helps with learning to become more aware of ourselves and others and how do we inter-relate. \*\*\*NOTE: It is recommended that participants have some experience introspection and shadow work, through participating in counselling, sharing circles, meditation, contemplation, yoga, or any modality that is designed to bring people into contact with their unconscious. This is stated as a duty of care, as the practices in authentic relating revolve around meeting ourselves deeply and coming into contact with how we are occurring the world. This process can be beautifully enlivening, and at times confronting, but the space is guided in such a way that it brings as much holding, and gentleness to the process as to make those courageous steps to share deeply, easier. If you are new to Authentic Relating or "AR" (as people in the community refer to it) and you have any questions or curiosities, please feel free to contact me via messenger for a chat. Also, there is a plenty of YouTube results for Authentic Relating practices. \*\*\* \*If you are experiencing financial hardship and wish to attend, please reach out and we can arrange something. \*\*please read Eventbrite details to. \*\*you cannot attend without pre-purchasing a ticket through the Eventbrite link. \*\*The doors for the event close 15 minuets after the start time, meaning, no entry is allowed once we have set the container, and spoken about the agreements, so please make the appropriate arrangements to arrive on time. About your facilitator. Daniel has spent many years exploring practices that deepen self-awareness, connection, and understanding of the human mind. His journey has included meditation, yoga, studying an Advanced Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling at the Phoenix Institute, neurofeedback, and working in support roles for transformational events, where he was closely mentored in space holding and sound healing between 2013–2018. Dan first encountered Authentic Relating at Confest in 2014, where he met his long-term mentor, Ryan Marwood, one of the early pioneers of Authentic Relating workshops in Melbourne. Daniel’s facilitation style has been deeply shaped through thousands of hours participating in Ryan’s workshops, trainings, and community spaces. Since then, he has continued to immerse himself in hundreds of workshops, facilitator trainings, and group experiences within the Authentic Relating world. For the past five years, Dan has been facilitating monthly Authentic Relating Games nights, as well as deeper immersive group trainings that invite people into greater connection, presence, authenticity, and courageous vulnerability. He continues to engage in ongoing trainings and embodied practices, bringing a grounded, heartfelt, and continually evolving approach to his facilitation. The event will most likely finish on time, with a 10-minuet buffer at the end in case we go over, there will be spare time to hang around and chat after. There will also be a 15-minute break in the middle of the event, with some small snacks provided.

Marketing Monday Networking
Marketing Monday Networking
Monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners. One specific topic, one to three actions you can run this week. You can be the best at what you do and still be invisible. If local buyers cannot find you, the phone does not ring. Marketing Monday Lunch + Learn is a monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners focused on building relationships, local networking, and local marketing. Every kind of local business welcome. No pitch round, no pressure, no upsell. **This month** Most local businesses pick one or two places to be visible and call it good. The result is inconsistent calls and a feeling that marketing is not working. We will walk through the three places every local business needs to show up, plus the fourth place most owners ignore that quietly produces the warmest leads. **What to expect** Doors open at noon. Order lunch and drinks at the cafe counter or bring your own. You get real conversation with other local owners and a focused marketing lesson. You leave knowing people and with one to three actions to run that week. The room is reserved through 1:30 PM. **Who this is for** Any local business owner who wants clearer marketing direction and real local relationships. Service businesses, retail, home services, professional services, online owners building local presence, anyone serious about being part of the Columbus business community. **Not the right fit if** You are here to pitch the room or recruit for an MLM. **Details** * Second Monday of every month * 12:00 to 1:30 PM * Good Cafe Easton, 4400 Easton Commons, Ste 150, Columbus, OH 43219 * Order lunch and drinks at the counter when you arrive * Free to attend, RSVP required, space is limited **About the host** Rita Suzanne is a local marketing strategist and the founder of Local Marketing Method. Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose** Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap. Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn: * Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge * How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change * Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction * How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work. **About Our Speaker** [Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.
