Join in Meditation with the Earth at 12pm on Friday at the north east corner of Central Park near the Boulder Bandshell and the playground.

Please bring your own cushion or chair, and a mat for ground protection as well as layers for warmth and comfort as needed. Snow, sun, wind, rain, no matter the weather, we are there, and all are welcome.

Please try to arrive by 11:55, as we ring the bell at 12:00 for a 15-minute meditation. After the meditation, we will have a brief sharing of experiences or a discussion based on a prompt or participant questions. Join for all or part of the practice, as you are called and able.

We’ll also be joined by the One Body Sangha virtual community as we dial in from the park. You’re welcome to join us online if you can’t make it in person but would like to meditate with the group.

By practicing regularly in nature -- sitting in the elements, with the elements, as the elements -- we are able to experience greater intimacy with the earth and with the interdependency of all life.

During this time of profound of ecological change, we draw upon the Zen Peacemaker practice of bearing witness to help us to feel deeply, see clearly and act wisely to nurture a healthy, thriving planet.

Invite your friends. All are welcome.
