**Come join our group of fun and fabulous friends!** **Please note that is a dog friendly event!** We meet and socialize outside on the Whitestone Brewery patio which is completely open to our four-legged friends. If you are looking to make new friends, you have come to the right place. And we offer an opportunity to get in some exercise. The exercise is a bonus and OPTIONAL! We want you to come hang out more than anything. Too cold or too hot or too whatever might keep you from exercising, but please just show up and honor us with your presence. And Whitestone Brewery has offered us Happy Hour pricing for this event! We will meet at 6:30 pm on the patio of Whitestone Brewery to **start our Run/Walk at 6:40 pm**. Please come prepared if you are going to run or walk. It is always important to be hydrated. If you are new to the event, I will make sure you have a "veteran" to run/walk with on the course. A Healing Walk in the Park
Join us for a **peaceful, healing, mostly silent walk** in Walnut Creek Park near Parmer and N Lamar. Join us for a **peaceful, healing, mostly silent pay-what-you-want walk** in Walnut Creek Park near Parmer and N Lamar. Take a little time to slow down, connect and enjoy the generous residents of this amazing forest, and discover greater kindness, space and open curiosity within yourself. ***While this is a healthy event, it is not a fitness event.*** The focus is on being present with no other demands, so the pace is modest and we may make short stops at times. Forest bathing is simply and wonderfully a matter of walking or sitting with a little mindfulness and gratitude in a wooded environment, which just so happens to be alive and breathing out things like terpenes that our human body-minds crave. (Yes, grasslands contribute their own beneficial concoctions, as well, but that's a different walk.) I will also offer a group No-Touch Reiki Energy Healing. This is an energetic experience that you can accept or decline. It is entirely up to you. **Important details** All levels of walkers are truly welcome. Our pace will reflect the capabilities and needs of all attendees, with a bias towards temperate or slow. The trail is paved, with occasional modest inclines and declines. Walkers, strollers and canes all work well. Bring a notebook, camera or binoculars if you choose. Frequent places are available to rest or take photos, when needed. Estimated distance ranges from 1/2 mile roundtrip to 3 miles roundtrip, depending on how far we go. ***All participants are fully responsible for their own well-being and indemnify and hold harmless the event organizer. Minors who participate must be accompanied by an adult who assumes full responsibility and indemnifies and holds harmless the event organizer.*** ***If you think you may need assistance, please come with a helper.
