We will be at Share Tea / Nivi Ice Cream in Wolf Ranch, Georgetown. There's plenty of free parking near the eatery.
PAYMENT: Since we are using business property, and it's polite if you purchase something from the establishment. $7 should cover most drinks. There's also ice cream available.
We are open to speakers of many levels, including beginners, but to get the most out of meeting, you should know hiragana (and hopefully katakana).
A great book for self study is Kazki Watanabe's "Japanese For Dogs".

Presence in Heat 🔥 A Loving-Kindness Meditation Experience
Life gets loud. This is your monthly invitation to pause.
Join us for a guided meditation inside the infrared sauna at HWX Brushy Creek. We use the heat as a space to slow down—through gentle breath, loving-kindness, and quiet presence—so you can release what’s been building and return to yourself.
**The experience includes:**
* 30 minutes of guided meditation in the sauna
* A few moments to soften, reset, and integrate
**Meditation + Infrared Heat**
The combination of meditation and infrared heat creates something unique— a space where the body releases and the mind settles. Some people describe it as “therapy without talking.”
If you’ve never been to HOTWORX before, this is a simple and welcoming way to experience the studio—no workout required. No meditation experience needed. Just come as you are.
* To keep the space intentional and comfortable, this session is limited to 5 participants. If it fills, you’re welcome to join the waitlist
* Please arrive a few minutes early to complete the facility waiver
**—**
Guided by Sam Neseim, meditation teacher, coach, and owner of HOTWORX Brushy Creek.
Sameh creates spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and return to what’s true—integrating presence, inner awareness, and real-life leadership.
Come as you are.
Let the heat hold you.
Let the practice meet you.
**We'd love to have you there!**

Night Owl Bar - North Austin Atheists
**Time:** 7PM - Whenever
**Location:** Night Owl Bar - Leander
203 N Brushy St, Leander, TX 78641
**NOTE:** Meetup only allows me to list 10 guests on the free plan. If the meetup is full, PLEASE STILL COME. Just post a comment to let me know you're coming.
If you're an Atheist, Agnostic, Skeptic, going through the process of deconstruction, or simply questioning your faith and want to hang out with some awesome people, come on out to our February meetup!
There is generally no major agenda, though this month I do have a discussion topic to get things started:
**Discussion Topic - Blind Faith vs Skepticism vs Cynicism**
Healthy skepticism helps to ensure that our beliefs match reality. Cynicism, however, can result in a distrust of things even in the face of evidence supporting the thing. With cynicism, conspiracy theories abound. With Blind Faith, anything can be believed even without evidence.
So how do you operate as a skeptic without falling into cynicism? How does skepticism impact your beliefs and outlook on life? Are there any areas of your life where you still exercise blind faith? How does trusting in the consensus of experts differ from blind faith in religious texts or authority figures?
Our regular meetup starts at 7PM and we usually just chat over drinks and food (though there is no pressure to order anything.)
Look forward to seeing all you regulars (and hopefully some new faces too!)

Location: Yoga Meditation Group, 13740 Research Blvd., Bldg T, Unit 3, Austin, 78750
Yoga Asana is the physical practice of yoga that includes exercises, breathing, and relaxation. The purpose of Yoga Asana isn't fitness. It is, in part, to take care of the body as our vehicle; and although this may include fitness, it should never be defined by it. Yoga Asana practice gives us the opportunity to become aware of the body and the life force within the body, helping us to experience that we are not the body but rather the eternal being within the body who needs fulfillment on a level that the body cannot satisfy. This experience can then lead us to the deeper yoga practices, which are centered around meditation (the heart of yoga) and spiritual inquiry about our eternal identity and purpose. All of our meditation classes are free and are listed here on Meetup. Let us know if you have any questions. Namaste.
NOTE: We do not require masks. We believe it is important to be able to breathe freely while practicing yoga asana and meditation. If you are not comfortable with this, we have links we can send you that may be helpful in practicing at home.
