**Beltuner is a Paris-based quartet** known for their electrifying live performances and fearless blend of musical styles. Since bursting onto the French jazz scene in the early 2000s, they have built a devoted following with their infectious energy and genre-defying sound. The group features Johann Riche on accordion and vocals, Pascal Muller on guitar, Bertrand Allaume on bass, and Mathieu Stora on percussion. Together, they create a bold and joyful fusion that draws from swing, manouche, musette (small bagpipe), tango, pop, and contemporary jazz. He received second-level initiation from his spiritual master, **Tamal Krishna Goswami**, who was a direct disciple of **H.D.G.A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada**, the scholar and teacher who brought Vedic knowledge to the Western world and founded the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Radhikatma Prabhu spent many years studying and practicing in **Israel, Europe and India**, where he received training in Vedic rituals and holds the traditional status of **Brahmin**. During his formation, he worked closely with Tamal Krishna Goswami, who in addition to his spiritual leadership was an accomplished academic, holding a **B.A. in Religious Studies** and a **Ph.D. from Cambridge University**, where he authored nine volumes of scholarly work. This period of close service deepened Radhikatma Prabhu's understanding of both the **devotional and philosophical dimensions** of the tradition. We’re excited to invite all ukulele players to our upcoming **Ukulele Jam**! Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced player, this is a fun, relaxed opportunity to meet other musicians, jam and play music together. The Ukulele has seen a resurgence of interest in popular culture and this jam specifically focuses on the versatility of charm of this unique instrument. **ABOUT OUR UKULELE JAMS** Our Ukulele Jams happen at the Toronto Guitar School's main downtown location at 116 Bond Street in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant music scene. Our jams are held in the main hall of one of Toronto's oldest churches with beautiful acoustics. It's the perfect place to come together, meet new friends and play. Our Ukulele Jams are all about community and creativity —whether you’re looking to connect with other players or just have a good time making music. We only charge a nominal fee of **$15** to cover the cost of the space and instructors. If you’re new to our Ukulele Jams please arrive **10-15 minutes early** so we can get to know your skill level and musical preferences. For decades, we've provided a venue for singers to express themselves, make quality music together, and form bonds beyond measure, and we invite you to join us for the ride. We welcome guests and work with them to find out their voice range and to determine what part (lead, tenor, baritone or bass) they would sing best. Guests are given a music folder and encouraged to participate in singing with the chorus in subsequent weeks. Although we continually strive for musical excellence, prior musical training is not necessary to belong to our chorus. We provide everyone with sheet music, audio learning tracks, education and guidance. At the end of 6 weeks, we ask each prospective member to audition, to ensure that they can hold their part in a four-part harmony song.

Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
