Love social dancing to live, acoustic music? The Eugene Folklore Society invites you to join in our dances, song circles and concerts. All ages and levels of experience are welcome, and no partner is needed. Dances are preceded by a half-hour lesson and you'll find the more experienced dancers welcoming and encouraging. Contradances occur on most of the 2nd and 4th Saturday nights during the school year. And in Corvallis, a little to the north, there's a sister group that dances on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Carpooling is common.
Please note that becoming a "member" of this online meetup is not the same as becoming a dues-paying member of EFS. Becoming an actual member of EFS entitles you to discounts to events both here and in Corvallis. You can join at any dance.
