Welcome to the Evansville Outdoors Co-op, a fresh new cooperative of outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to helping you find inspiration in the great outdoors.
Whether you're a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or just starting your journey, we at Evansville Outdoors believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore in a supportive and open environment.

See all- Yellow Birch Ravine (Day Hike)Yellow Birch Ravine Nature Preserve, Taswell, IN
Enjoy three out-and-back trails at Yellow Birch Ravine Nature Preserve in Taswell, IN. This will make for an easy, scenic hike along a ravine stream bed with steep, rocky cliffs. One trail takes us to a natural arch.
- Difficulty: Easy to moderate
- Length: 3.8 miles
## WHAT TO BRING
- Sturdy shoes for hiking
- Long pants (for stinging nettles)
- Day Bag
- Water (for drinking) and snacks
- Packed lunch (eaten on trail)
- Sunscreen and Bug spray
- Walking stick or hiking poles (optional)
- Clean shoes for the car ride (leave in the car)

09:00 - Meet at Lowe's to Carpool
10:00 - Rendezvous at I-64 and IN-37 Marathon
10:30 - Arrive at trailhead
12:00 - Lunch on trail
13:30 - Wrap up hike
15:00 - arrive in Evansville
## NOTES- Parking is limited to 2 vehicles. Carpool from Evansville or meet up at I-64 and IN-37 (exit 79).
- There are reports of stinging nettle on the trail. Wear long pants just in case!
- If it's rained recently, there will be water crossings. Consider packing some water shoes if you want to get your feet wet!.
## GROUND RULES
- Leave no trace, and pack out all your trash.
- No children.
- Dogs on a 6-ft fixed leash.

72st Annual Cave Capers 2025
- Where: Marengo, Indiana
- When: August 7~10
- Cost: $40 registration
Who Should Join:
Anyone interested in caving! This is Indiana's signature cave event, and grottos gather from across the country every year to participate.What to Expect:
- Cave trips are scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sign up sheets for individual trips are posted on the bulletin boards in "Cave Central" the night before at 8PM (EDT). Be there early, or you'll miss out! Sign up sheets fill up in a matter of seconds!
- There's on-site camping (free with your registration).
- Music performances last until 1AM each night.
- A ropes course is open Friday~Sunday to learn, practice, and compete in an Apline SRT (Single Rope Technique) obstacle course.
- A speaker will follow Sunday's banquet (additional $25), and all participants can enter for plentiful door prizes.

- Pets are not permitted in common areas.
