Land Between the Lakes: Canal Loop Trail

Join us for a day hike at Land Between the Lakes. We're going to hike the Canal Loop Trail, which has scenic vistas sandwiched between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.

• Difficulty: Moderate
• Length: 10 miles
• Terrain: Hills alongside the lakes
• Pace: ~2mph

### What to Bring

• Sturdy hiking shoes or boots
• Day pack
• Water (at least 1L)
• Snacks and/or packed lunch
• Sunscreen and bug spray
• Weather-appropriate clothing (dress in layers)

### Schedule

ALL TIMES LISTED IN CENTRAL TIME (CST/CDT)

• 8:00 AM: Meet at Lowe's (Oak Grove Rd.) to carpool
• 10:15 AM: Arrive at North Welcome Station, begin hike
• 12:00 PM: Lunch on the trail
• 4:00 PM: Finish hike
• 6:30 PM: Arrive back in Evansville

### Ground Rules

• Leave no trace, pack out all your trash.
• No children.
• Dogs permitted on a 6-ft fixed leash.
