Annual Picnic Ride

This year the ETC Picnic will be at Confluence Park in Issaquah. We have the picnic shelter reserved from 3pm to 9pm. The ride will start at noon. The route will be the Lake Sammamish loop counter-clockwise (~25 miles), following the East Lake Sammamish Trail to downtown Redmond, including the recently opened link to the Redmond Central Connector Trail. Return to Confluence Park will be via West Lake Sammamish Parkway and the Pickering Square complex to the East Lake Sammamish Trail. For those who want some additional miles there are options to go north from Redmond on Eastrail before cutting east across the valley ( via PSE Trail, or 116th St NE, or 124th St NE, or all the way to Chateau Ste Michelle and 145th St NE) to the Sammamish Trail and back to Redmond and the Picnic Ride route. If you want a shorter flat ride, the East Lake Sammamish Trail provides up to 20 miles out and back. If you can't make the ride but want to join the picnic, that's fine but please remember to sign up and note that you will not be riding.

Restrooms are available at the start and on the trail at Sammamish Landing Park (about mile 9). Restrooms a short distance off the route are also available at Marymoor Park (about mile 13) and at Idylwood Park (about mile 15).

ETC will provide pizza and water. Bringing salad or cookies to share is welcome, but optional. Note: Issaquah park's rules prohibit alcohol.
