Hi and welcome to Exeter Socials! The social meetup for all ages and for anybody wanting to meet and make friends and enhance their social lives.
We host a wide range of events all year round including evening and daytime socialising, dining out, film and theatre, comedy and live shows, concerts and festivals, singing and dancing, walks, exhibitions, card and games nights, badminton, scrabble, food fairs, exercise and keep fit, inspirational talks and discussion evenings, murder mystery evenings, coffees and chats, picnics, pub quizzes and more..
If you can't see anything for you but have some ideas, please feel free to contact the organisers who will be more than happy to host an event for you or become an organiser yourself.
If joining a new social group seems daunting don't worry, you'll always be made to feel welcome and comfortable, bring along a friend if it helps. It's a relaxed group and home to a wide range of personalities and interests. Most events are free, but we do ask active members to pay £5 a year to help towards group running costs..

This is the first of a series of three monthly donation-only sessions based on the fundamentals for complete beginners, with seasoned improvisers also welcome.
If youâve never tried improv before, this is your moment. Join us for a relaxed and playful session featuring a variety of games and exercises, all with an emphasis on having fun.

A new class open for beginners and experienced 5Rhythms dancers.
5Rhythms is a movement meditation practice, a dynamic dance form created by Gabrielle Roth, that guides participants through a journey of music and movement, exploring the 5Rhythms ~ Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness.
Fortnightly classes, Sundays 6-8pm- doors open at 5.45pm

Or cash or card on the doorDuring this 5Rhythms class we will move through Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and finish in Stillness. Its a time for you to explore and connect with your unique rhythm and way of expressing movement and creativity through your body, a space to connect with yourself and move freely.
You donât need any experience and there are no steps to follow, just a willingness to explore. You are welcome as you are to discover your own dance, how to connect with others and be part of a larger group in that discovery.
This 5Rhythms class is a 2hr hour session. We start with a warm-up, Body Parts Meditation, followed by a Wave.
NOTES
-Wear comfy clothes you can move in, bring a water bottle, we dance barefoot or indoor/dance shoes.
-Free car park next to the Church Hall.Please arrive on time, doors open at 5.45pm, class starts at 6pm

We are of the earth, embodied, rooted yet free to flow, grow and unfold. Through the 5Rhythms dance the invitation is to discover how energy moves through the body in rhythms and waves, rising, falling
and expanding from the roots of flowing all the way to the wings of lyrical.This day will support you into a deeper enquiry and mystery of the rhythms of flowing and lyrical.
You will find both your roots and wings, feeling the ground of your being and the expansive possibilities
