Get ready to indulge in the ultimate pizza adventure as we embark on our very first For the Love of Pizza walking tour! If you enjoyed our Cheesesteak Wars event, you know this is going to be a delicious and fun-filled afternoon. We're going on a walking tour of four of the city's most beloved pizzerias, sampling a slice from each spot. This is the perfect opportunity to find your new favorite slice while connecting with fellow food lovers!
### The Grand Tour
We will start our tour at
- Paulie Gee's Soul City Slice Shop, which is a slice of Brooklyn right here in Philly. They serve up classic New York-style round and square pies, with a retro atmosphere that includes vinyl records and good vibes.
- From there, we'll take a short stroll to our next stop, CJ & D's Trenton Tomato Pies (walking distance is approximately 1.1 miles). They offer a unique twist on the traditional pizza with their signature Trenton-style tomato pie, which features a thin, crispy crust with the cheese placed underneath the tangy tomato sauce.
- Our third stop will be Square Pizza (walking distance is approximately 0.6 miles), a Philadelphia tradition that has been serving up its iconic square pies for over 60 years. Their pizza is known for having a distinctive square shape and putting the sauce on top of the cheese.
- Finally, we'll walk to our last stop, Angelo's Pizzeria (walking distance is approximately 0.4 miles from Square Pizza). Angelo's is known for its high-quality ingredients and incredible dough. Their "Upside Down Jawn" is a local favorite, featuring a thick crust with the sauce on top.
- If Angelo's is too crowded, our backup spot is Puglia Pizza (1 block from Angelo's). They are known for their large, thin pies with a great crust, and a variety of delicious toppings. After our final stop, we will walk back to our starting point (approximately a 0.5-mile walk from our final stop to Paulie Gee's).
