Date change notice to March . H ike and Observatory exploration via Train

ANOTHER TRAIN DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!NEW DIRECTIONS 2/26

Those who want to take and park in Redlands Metro Station the train leaves at 6:11 am for San Bernardino Depo. Train #1351 leaves SBO at 6:38 for Union Station arriving 8:22am. Once at the station hop on 8:37am Westbound B line -Metro(Red) Union Station (at Transportation Plaza) and get off Western/Hollywood Blvd for a walk to Fern Dell Dr and the Nature Center
We are hiking the Ferndell Dr/Observatory Loop(via a fire break service road). 5 miles roundtrip with some elevation gain. We will go thru Fern Dell at Griffith Park -a shaded nature trail with tropical plants and natural beauty. Then we meander up to the observatory with awesome views and programs. You'll see the Hollywood sign and more on this trip . Sorry it is so early but well worth it. All for $10. you can eat at the observatory too or pack a lunch ect.
We need to get back down via the 3:05 LADOT bus stop outside Griffith Park to catch Sunset/Vermont Metro Station back to Union Station for our 4:38 ride back on SB#1366 . Well Roll into Redlands at 6:54pm
