Hiking and History...Herngt 'Aki" Preserve then Lincoln Shrine festivities

First, hike in the rolling hills of the preserve on the RATTLESNAKES
(a series of S shaped trails). Flat trail with minimal elevation gain. Estimated 3 miles roundtrip. We will park at the Oakmont Parking lot on the preserve at 31212 Sutherland Dr. Redlands. There is a porta potty and sitting area to meet up at.
Next, jump in your car and head for downtown Redlands CVS parking lot (Orange St) where we will meet and walk a few blocks up to the historic Lincoln Shrine and the festivities, including hearing the Gettysburg Address from Lincoln himself (Not really, but a great impersonation). This is a family event and free but leave your fur babies at home if you are going to go to the Shrine half of our day's outing.

From the Shrine, which is one of two constructed in the US, we will go to lunch in downtown Redlands- location TBA.
