About us
If you're interested in farming, fresh seasonal vegetables, healthy food, and where your food comes from, this group is for you.
We love enjoying delicious food, and that's a big part of our events. But we also like to explore what we eat, where it comes from, and who grows it. Our events may include visiting local farms, getting hands-on with farming, harvesting seasonal vegetables, cooking together, and learning about Japanese food culture.
Through these experiences, we hope to feel more connected to the food we eat, the land where it's grown, the people who grow it, and the local culture behind it.
We're based in Ogawamachi, Saitama, one of Japan's well-known communities for organic farming, just about one hour from Ikebukuro by direct train. We have a small organic farm ourselves, where we grow seasonal vegetables, and many of our events take place here. We also organize various events in other areas that are easy to reach from Tokyo.
Our members are mostly people interested in farming, food, cooking, and nature. It's always a pleasure to meet people who share similar interests. About half of our participants are returning members and half are first-time visitors, so you'll always find both familiar faces and newcomers. Whether you come alone or with friends, you'll be warmly welcomed.
Our organizers speak both English and Japanese, so there's no need to worry about the language barrier.
We look forward to growing, cooking, learning, and sharing great food with you!
