NOTE -- Please Read Carefully
This is not an actual event... yet. I'm asking if you'd attend this kind of free event, and I'm asking for your feedback by Sun., 5/19.BACKGROUND
Bruce Dougherty of A Conscious Partner offers a series of trainings -- including a ton of free sessions -- designed as transformative vehicles for personal growth and awareness that is completely different and innovative.I know a lot of the members of my "Finding Friends" MeetUp group are interested in spiritual growth and personal development -- this is right up your alley, and I'm confident you'll find it as enjoyable and eye-opening as I have.
As a member of Bruce's MeetUp group, I have attended several of his complimentary, 2-hour events in the past several weeks. These are, he'll admitted, teasers for longer, more comprehensive paid programs. That said, Bruce generously packs a lot of powerful info. into every 2-hour session with a focus on interactive discussions, delivered without ego or attitude.
I encourage you to check him out here, or actually sign up for one of his regular complimentary, 2-hour events in the next week or so to get a feel for what he has to offer and how he's delivering it.
SPECIAL INVITATION FOR US HERE IN CLACKAMAS COUNTY / PDX METRO!
A Conscious Partner is beta testing a new program and, if we have enough members who are interested, Bruce will conduct his unique "Dating Games" event just for those of us here in PDX / Clackamas County some time soon.Bruce's "Dating Games" program invites 9 discerning women and 9 mindful men to engage in growth-oriented conversations designed to foster true connection.
Wow -- yes, please -- that's how I'd like my dating experiences to be going forward! =D
This is obviously of interest to those of us who are Single-&-Looking (I know there's a lot of us in this MeetUp group), but the content is also relevant to couples.
THE Q IS, WOULD YOU ATTEND?
If you'd attend this virtual, complimentary program designed to enhance conversation between the sexes, hit the red "Attend" button by Sun., 5/19 to express your interest. If enough of you respond, Bruce and I will schedule a virtual Clackamas County / PDX metro event and post it here for you to register for.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Be gentle with yourself and kind to others,

Making new friends isn’t always easy – back in school we mixed and mingled with a variety of potential chums all the time. If your job puts you in touch with a lot of people perhaps you still do, but that’s not the case for many gig workers, entrepreneurs, empty nesters, retirees, and others.
If:- now feels like the time to meet new people and forge new friendships, and
- you’d like to take a purposeful approach, but
- you aren’t sure where to start, or how to get beyond polite small talk,
…then let’s give this a try! Come find your people, your tribe, you troop.
WHO
Midlife locals interested in meeting potential pals.
The focus is on meeting people, enjoying conversation, and potentially forging new friendships so, please, no younguns and no soliciting.
West Linn, Oregon City, and Lake Oswego are the focus; that said, you do not have to live or work in these communities to participate. All who are willing and able to be kind, respectful, and good-natured are welcome.WHAT
The idea is something akin to speed dating, though not necessarily with a romantic intention.
We’ll pair up (regardless of gender or orientation, unlike true speed dating) to visit one-on-one for a few minutes, then switch partners and chat with someone new for a few minutes, and so on. There’ll be a brief opening exercise and optional conversation starter prompts. We’ll wrap up with a few minutes of group sharing. If and as you connect with others over shared interests, you’re encouraged to exchange contact info.** You might continue chatting over coffee or drinks when the meeting’s over, or schedule your own get together at another time. Attend additional Speed-Friending events to keep meeting new people, and follow up with folks on your own time as well to get to know one another better.
**Safety Note: Registrants are not vetted. Only share what you’re comfortable with in each instance. For example, you might share your first name vs. your full name, or offer to communicate by email vs. phone, etc.
