Laid Back NOVA DMV Fiction Writing and Self Publishing

Purpose:

The purpose of this group is to meet- sometimes online, sometimes in person- with relative frequency to work on fiction projects. The goal is that by establishing such a routine, one develops the habit of actually sitting down and meeting their writing goals.

Depending on how many people show (online/in-person), there will be a five-minute meet and greet where you can introduce yourself and the project you are working on. Then there will be two fifteen-twenty minute writing sprints. In between those sprints, and potentially after, those who wish to share what they are working on her ask for constructive criticism may do so.

The group also acts as a support group for those interested in self-publishing their fiction, regardless of genre (from kids books to adult horror etc.)
