- Monthly Book Club for Reading Diversity - Independent PeopleZero Gravity Brewery, Burlington, VT
This is an iteration of a long-standing book club. We're currently meeting at Zero Gravity. Weather dependent, we may sit outside on their patio.
This book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday of every month and is a great way to meet people and discuss a variety of books. This is an informal book club, and you are welcome to attend regularly or just join when you’d like! Feel free to join even if you don't finish the book - just be aware that there will be spoilers. But if you sign up, please show up! Late cancellations and no shows are no fun!!
This month we're reading Independent People by Halldor Laxness, which won it's author the Nobel Peace Prize in Literature in 1955. You can read more about the plot here - I have been able to find print copies at local libraries.
If you want to advocate for a book, the best way to do so is to come to book club where we always select the book for the meeting two months later. Thank you all for your suggestions!!
