FREE HIKE 25 km | Hilly Leith Hill circular

Details
Challenge your legs (literally) and lift your spirits on this demanding yet rewarding circular hike through the stunning Surrey Hills National Landscape.
Starting and finishing in Dorking, this full-day adventure is perfect for strong walkers ready to tackle steep climbs, tranquil forest trails, open fields, and varied terrain. Expect a proper cardio and leg-day workout on a few of the inclines.
We’ll wind through peaceful woodlands and rolling fields on our way to the secluded village of Coldharbour. A steep climb through ancient woodland brings us to Leith Hill (294 m), the highest point in Southeast England. Soak up the panoramic views from Leith Hill Tower, and reward yourself with tea, coffee, cake, or ice cream from the cosy café (you’ve earned it).
The return journey takes us through lush woodland and past the historic Wotton House Estate. Our final break is at Denbies Wine Estate, where you can use the facilities, grab a drink, or browse the farm shop, because what’s a hike without a little grape-related motivation?
With uneven ground and plenty of elevation, we’ll keep a steady, comfortable pace that allows for conversation, scenic appreciation, and the occasional breath-catching pause on those cheeky climbs.
