The gays are eating garlic bread at the park on Saturday, August 8 at 4 pm at Todos Santos Plaza!

Please RSVP/add a reaction if you’re planning to come so we know how much garlic bread to bring!

If this sounds random to you, hark: “gays eating garlic bread at the park” is a viral queer picnic movement that started in Seattle in 2024. It has since expanded worldwide, and the Seattle meetup has grown to over 800 people.

So if you like the idea of a friendly chat over garlic bread on a summer’s day… stop by!

We’ll do our best to bring enough for everyone, and it will be standard wheat garlic bread. If you have specific sensitivities or allergies, please feel free to BYOGB, or just hang out with any beverage or snack.

If you don’t want to sit on the grass, there will be some seating on stone benches, or you can bring a blanket or chair.

For those who want to keep the party going, Side Gate Brewery (about a block away) also happens to be celebrating their 5-year anniversary on the same day until 10 pm.

📍 How to find us: Park anywhere around the plaza or at either of the parking garages (Salvio and East Street or Salvio Street near Galindo). We’ll be on the grass near the marble benches that go diagonally across the park, most likely somewhere between the center of the park and the bronze statue.

♿ Accessibility: Todos Santos Plaza is fully wheelchair accessible. Please note that we’ll be primarily sitting on the grass. Noise level will be moderate.

Game night at Rainbow Community Center is on Wednesday, 8/26 at 6 pm!

We play games that are simple enough to learn on the spot but engaging enough to keep things interesting.

You definitely don’t need to be a “gamer” to have fun.

📍 How to find us: There will be plenty of parking at 2380 Salvio St here in Concord. There's an elevator on the west side (towards Todos Santos) of the building, and there are stairs on both sides. Go all the way to the third floor, and you'll see signs directing you to the suite 301 front door, which will likely be propped open already.

♿ Accessibility: Rainbow Community Center is fully wheelchair accessible via the elevator on the west end of the building, with accessible restrooms located inside. Noise will be moderate to loud, depending on what group you're in. There’s no cost to join the group.
