What we're about

Full Stack is an event where web designers and developers can come together to learn from and teach each other about emerging technologies. While talks at Full Stack focus primarily on Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, we encourage all local web professionals to join us for vivid discussions around technology across the stack in any language.

Hang & Code: After the talks, you're also welcome to make use of our desk space and team rooms while you're here, so feel free to bring a project to hack on after the talks.

Postgres is a fantastic general-purpose database used by millions of developers every day. Being one of the oldest open-source relational databases, Postgres has accumulated many features over the years. In this talk, we will briefly touch on 10 of my favorites. Hopefully, this will give you a better understanding of how Postgres differs from other popular databases like MySQL and MongoDB, and inspire some use cases for your own projects.

“Delightful Game Development with PICO-8” - Kevin Thompson

PICO-8 (https://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php) is a fantasy console for making, sharing and playing tiny games and other computer programs. Let’s take a look at the features, limitations and community surrounding PICO-8, then learn what it’s like to use PICO-8 to create and share a simple game.
