What we’re about
We are a Scottish Gaelic Learning Community in the Washington, DC-area (writ large), open to all with an interest in the Celtic language of Scotland (and its sister languages, Irish and Manx). Our meetups are typically social events geared to help you learn and use Scottish Gaelic outside the classroom.
Since November 2016, we have held more than 40 meetups, including Scottish Gaelic song workshops, conversation groups, poetry nights, a picnic outing and immersion days. We've organized events for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, and we are interested in helping learners find teachers.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of our events this past year have been virtual. We hold monthly events via Zoom.
