What we’re about
GAY WINOS is a Gay mens WINE & FOOD TASTING & SOCIAL GROUP that was launched in April 2010 and hosts at least 1 or 2 wine or food related outings every month. Our group is for Gay men who would like to learn more about the local Southern California wine & food scene, network with other professionals and meet new friends. We visit local wine bars or restaurants and events throughout the greater L.A. area on weeknights or weekends and occasionally get together at members' homes.
GAY WINOS also plans occasional visits to wineries (from Temecula to Paso Robles), wine festivals or unique events that integrate wine and/or food into the mix, but run the gamut. See our "past events" section which shows the types of diverse things we do including historical tours, outdoor canyon hikes, watching female roller derby, movie nights and more. To offer more variety we will occasionally place emphasis on beer or just food offerings. And you do NOT have to drink alcohol at any of our events to participate--though you will certainly in most cases be exposed to it.
Our membership is varied and open to Gay men between 25 years old and "youthfully" older. We only request that you do NEVER consume more than the legal amount of alcohol then attempt to drive after any of our events. If you unintentionally do consume too much wine then please ask another group member for a ride home or call a taxi. We want to make sure our members are safe and sound!
If you want to suggest group outing ideas please feel free to do so. WE ONLY ASK THAT YOU PLEASE HONOR YOUR WORD AND DO NOT R.S.V.P. UNLESS YOU ARE FAIRLY SURE YOU CAN ATTEND AN EVENT.
