I am happy to introduce our 29th session titled Mysticism and Our Personal Spirituality . As of now, our meeting place is the Crowned Eagle (see address for full location). Here, same a atmosphere and vibrant community will welcome you to the event and I hope you can attend! The meeting will take place on January 13 at 18:45 - 20:45.
Introduction to the topic - Mysticism as a concept has many different meanings. To some, mysticism is just a word that is vaguely associated to anything occult or supernatural. Others hold mysticism as being experiences and practices that connect one directly with "god" or the "ultimate" reality. And finally, some may yet regard mysticism as moments and experiences of spiritual transformation. In many ways, all of these are true, where one could say mysticism contains all of these as pillars. History has many examples of mystics from the ancient yogis and kabbalists seeking "enlightenment" or unity with god, all the way to modern day new age spiritual practitioners. In the end, mysticism comes down to one's own personal spirituality.
In the first session of 2026, we will take a look into the strange world of mysticism and personal spiritual experience. Here, we will not only focus on what history and culture establish as "mystical experiences", but also on what we ourselves experience as "mystical" in personal spiritual practice. In this discussion, mystical experiences may yet touch upon concepts such as ecstatic states, prophetic visions, synchronicity, and more. It is here that we may take a step in personal vulnerability and truly share what ends up being "mystical" to us in our own personal spiritual practice and experience.
Our agenda for this event is as follows:
