Signal des Voirons via Machilly

Details
⭐ Please read the full description below ⭐
This Sunday we are going to hike from Machilly up to the Signal des Voirons (1,480 m), the highest point of the Voirons massif on the French side of Lake Geneva. This is a 15.6-km out-and-back trail that takes us through forests, past the Notre-Dame des Voirons chapel, and up to a ridge with panoramic views toward Mont Blanc, Lac Léman, and the Jura.
The route starts from Machilly train station and climbs steadily on forest paths before reaching the chapel, then continues along the ridge to the Signal des Voirons. After enjoying the summit views and having lunch, we will descend the same way back to Machilly.
The weather is expected to be partly sunny, with temperatures between 13 °C in the morning and 22–23 °C around midday, so please bring sun protection, enough water, and a light jacket for the start of the day. There will be mosquitoes in the forest so bring repellent.
