About us
Looking for a better way to spend your Friday than sitting in a crowded bar? Welcome to Garden Happy Hour - the Friday evening tradition where we trade cocktails for compost, traffic for tomatoes, and small talk for real conversations.
Join us at The Garden @ St. Francis Episcopal Church for a different kind of Happy Hour. We'll spend a couple of hours helping to grow fresh produce for those in need, then kick back with light snacks and good conversation.
And yes…there are chickens! 🐔
The garden is home to a friendly flock, so if you've ever been curious about raising backyard chickens, you'll have the chance to learn about their care, personalities, and the joys (and occasional antics!) of keeping them. Whether you're dreaming of your own flock or simply curious, they're part of what makes this place so special.
Coming by yourself? Most people do!
No gardening experience necessary. Just bring comfortable clothes, a willingness to help, and a positive attitude.
Why you'll love it:
🌱 Get outside after a long workweek.
🌿 Learn about gardening.
🐔 Meet our feathered friends and discover what backyard chickens are all about.
💚 Give back to the community while having fun.
🍓 Enjoy light snacks and genuine conversation afterward.
✨ Start your weekend feeling refreshed instead of drained.
Whether you're hoping to expand your social circle, spend more time outdoors, or simply try something different on a Friday evening, we'd love to have you join us.
Come for the gardening. Stay for the people - and the chickens.
