### 🗺️ Event Overview

Join us for a 5–7 mile scenic urban hike across San Francisco, starting at Civic Center and ending at Emperor Taste Restaurant in the Richmond District. Along the way, we’ll explore a mix of the city’s urban landmarks, hidden neighborhoods, and scenic viewpoints before finishing with a well-earned family-style seafood dinner (you need to sign up to the dinner event separately, please read the event description carefully, space limited).

This is a perfect chance to get outside, stretch your legs, and enjoy good company before gathering around the table together.

### 👟 Hike Details

• Distance: 5–7 miles
• Pace: Moderate (expect some hills—it’s San Francisco!)
• Estimated Duration: 3–4 hours, including short stops for snacks and breaks
• Route Highlights: Civic Center, Japantown, Golden Gate Park, Outer Richmond neighborhood, and a rewarding finish at Balboa Street

We’ll aim to arrive around 5:00 pm for dinner. Emperor Taste is known for generous portions, chaotic atmosphere, and the best value in town, and we’ll order family-style seafood set menus to share.

• Comfortable walking shoes

• A jacket (the Richmond District can be chilly and foggy in the evening)

### 🌕 Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival Dinner & Hike

We’ll likely do a short hike before dinner—a chance to enjoy the outdoors, stretch our legs, and work up an appetite.

The Moon Festival (Mid-Autumn Festival)—one of my favorite holidays—is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest. Traditionally, it’s a time for family reunions, harvest celebrations and appreciation. Let’s gather for some togetherness, meet new friends, and create fresh memories together.

### 🍽️ Dinner at Emperor Taste - We’ve been to this restaurant a few times—it’s known for generous portions, chaotic atmosphere, good food, and the best value in town.

⚠️ Please note: If you don’t enjoy crowded places or family-style dining, this may not be the right event for you.

• We’ll most likely order from the seafood preset menu, served family-style (shared dishes).
• Estimated cost: $40–45 per person (excluding drinks).
• Please bring cash or have Venmo ready—we’ll split the food bill equally (drinks paid separately).

### 🔖 Attendance, Waitlist & Deposit

• Everyone will first be placed on the waitlist.
• I’ll message you directly to confirm; you’ll remain on the waitlist until you’ve paid the $8 refundable deposit. Once paid, you’ll be moved to the “going” list.
• Priority will be given to members I’ve met before, had a positive experience with, and who have a good attendance history.
• The $8 deposit is refundable until Friday, Oct 3, 2025. After that, it’s nonrefundable—but if you show up to dinner, the $8 will be applied toward your share of dinner.

⚠️ If you don’t like seafood, have allergies, prefer your own dish, or don’t enjoy crowds, this isn’t the right event for you.
