Memorial Day BBQ – Let’s Kick Off Summer Together!

Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer! Let’s celebrate the season’s warmth and sunshine with a rooftop BBQ.

Attendance & Waitlist
Everyone will be placed on the waitlist. As this event is being hosted on a friend’s private rooftop, space is limited and not everyone on the waitlist will be confirmed. The exact address and instructions will be shared with those on the going-list.

Priority will be given to group members I’ve met before and had a positive experience with.

You’ll be moved to the “Going” list after sending payment via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or cash to cover basic food and supplies.

Cost to Attend

• $20 if paid by Friday, May 25, 2025
• $25 if paid after May 25, 2025

Food & Drinks
I am marinating a whole turkey for the grill! We’ll also have:

• Whole Turkey
• Hamburgers/chicken thighs/pork
• Cheese/buns
• Grilled Corns
• WATERMELON
• Grilled Portobello Mushrooms
• Grilled Okra
• Healthy fresh salad greens
• White rice to go with the turkey if you want to
• Chinese sausages
• Dessert (most likely a pie)
• Chips/snacks
• A variety of lemon tea (hot & cold), soda, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks

🍷 This event is BYOB — I don’t drink. If you want alcohol, bring your own.

Feel free to bring a board game or two!

Schedule of Events

• 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Arrival & mingling
• 12:00 – 5:00 PM: Rooftop BBQ & grilling
• 5:00 – 5:30 PM: Clean-up & departure

A modern rooftop near 10th & Market Street, featuring:

✅ Outdoor TV
✅ Fireplace
✅ Tables & chairs
✅ Bathroom access

Note: Once confirmed, the address will be shared privately.

What to Bring

• A jacket – SF evenings can get chilly
• A hat and/or sunscreen – protect yourself from the sun! Not a lot shades

Please note that all food will be cooked on the same grill. If you have specific dietary restrictions or sensitivities, this may not be the right event for you.
