Sunday Streets SF: Tenderloin, Hub Support AM - Morning Shift
Larkin St & Ellis St, San Francisco, CA 94109, San Francisco, Ca, USLet's celebrate 18 years of Sunday Streets SF, transforming miles of city streets into car-free community spaces for kids to play, seniors to stroll, businesses and organizations to connect, and neighbors to meet.
*Season Kick-Off Event (First Open Streets Event in 2026)
- 6/14 Tenderloin
Role: Hub Support
Shift Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Role Description: Setup tents, tables, chairs and staging of unused equipment to make Sunday Streets a safe & vibrant community space for all to enjoy.
Requirements: Must be able to lift 25lbs. and Stand/Walk for long periods of time.*There's plenty of roles and fun task duties to choose from! Please be sure to choose a volunteer shift that you can fully commit without interference on the event day as it can be extremely challenging to find a replacement in short notice. Thank you in advance for your generous dedication of time and support!
Volunteers will have the opportunity to:- Help build community while engaging in fun outdoor activities
- Fill critical safety roles at Sunday Streets
- Conduct Public-Facing Sign Posting & Neighborhood Outreach (Prior to Event-Day)
- Recycling Raven (Waste Management)
Sunday Streets volunteers will receive the following perks throughout the season:
- Limited-Edition Sunday Streets T-shirt per Sunday Streets season
- Free meals; 1/per event from SF based/local to the neighborhood eateries (vegetarian and vegan options available upon request)
- Invitations to Exclusive Livable City Events
- Special Tokens of Appreciation for recurrent volunteers
Attendees will have access to a variety of health & wellness resources from local community-based organizations, music playing in the streets, live performances, as well as fun & engaging activities for all ages to enjoy!

SF Juneteenth Parade AM Shift#1
Location not specified yetTHANK YOU for your interest in volunteering at the 4th Annual SF Juneteenth Parade on Market Street! You're joining a team of hundreds of dedicated non-profit staff members, city workers and volunteers who are committed to making sure the African American communities in SF are celebrated during the Juneteenth Freedom Day Weekend!
We'll start at Market & 2nd Street and move through downtown to the waterfront, closing out at Embarcadero Plaza near the Ferry Building.
Juneteenth Volunteer Requirements:- Most of the volunteer roles require long periods of standing and/or walking.
- All volunteers are expected to stay the full duration of their shift (4 hours including breaks).
- If you have any physical or dietary restrictions, please be sure to notify us in advance.
Juneteenth Volunteer Roles:
- Set-Up Volunteers: Set Up street closure equipment including barricades, cones, delineators and closure signage. May include festival equipment set up as well such as tables, tents and chairs.
- Crossing Guards: Monitor intersections and maintain pedestrian crowd safety.
- Staging Volunteers: Assists with coordination for the lineup of contingents and parade participants.
- Route Monitoring: Consists of a mobile team that guides the contingents down the route helping to maintain a safe speed and flow of direction throughout the duration of the procession.

*Parking is extremely limited downtown San Francisco, therefore volunteers are encouraged to take public transit to the event.
