Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ìme

Join Glasgow Young Walkers on a walk to two munros - Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ìme. The compact group of mountains known as the Arrochar Alps are renowned for their steep, rugged and rocky nature.

· Meeting point/time: Start at Succoth Car Park, Arrochar
· Distance: 13.5km / 8.5 miles
· Ascent: 1325 m
· Duration: 7.5 hours
· Terrain: Rocky, steep and eroded path on Beinn Narnain with very mild scrambling. Beinn Ìme is a broad dome on this side and the return route has a good path.
Getting there
By car: The starting point of the walk is 1 hour away by car from the city centre of Glasgow. If you can offer a lift, please add this to the comments with the number of places you have. Non drivers will be expected to contribute towards fuel costs. Priority will be given to those that can offer lifts.
By Public Transport: Citylink buses to Arrochar, local buses to Arrochar and Succoth.
This is as strenuous walk with a considerable amount of ascent thus previous hillwalking experience and a good fitness are essential. If you have not walked with me before, feel free to check in with me and see if your fitness level can manage the walk safely.
Please wear suitable walking boots and bring your full waterproofs. Please also make sure that you have enough food and water on you. Additionally, walk leaders reserve the right to turn away participants who, in their opinion, are inadequately equipped or unfit for the type of walk.
This walk is limited to 8 attendees.
