Dog canoeing at Symonds Yat East

Prepare for some fun chaos as we take the dogs on the river! Start time is 9.45 but I’ll go for a quick walk along the river first.

We have booked Wyedean Canoeing in Symonds Yat East. The cost is £37.25 per person plus £7 parking for the day. Please RSVP to the waitlist first, and I will contact you separately to arrange payment and add you to the going list - also for the admin, let me know the age of anyone under 18, if you have any medical conditions, or are pregnant!

The canoes will be sparred together in pairs to form very stable rafts that will take 4 people and 4-ish dogs. Please let me know if you have a preference of who you're with in your group of 4, and I'll allocate everyone a place before the day.

- 9.00 optional walk along the river
- 9.30 meet at Wyedean for safety briefing and equipment
- 9.45ish drive in the minibus to Kerne Bridge
- 10ish launch! around 3 hours paddling plus lunch stop
- 2.00 approx return time (latest return is 4.30)

Meet at Wyedean Canoe Hire, Symonds Yat East, HR9 6JL at 9.45 so we can sort out equipment and get our essential safety briefing. Try to car share as it's about 40 minutes from Cheltenham (and £7 parking!).

Bring:
- Towel and spare clothing to leave in the car just in case!
- Picnic for a halfway stop
- Water, hat, etc - hopefully it will be warm and we are quite exposed out on the river
- Optional swimming costume!

Lifejackets, paddles and watertight drums for storage are provided.
