The Despeauxrados, (VS) -`Paris Mountain State Park

This group meets Wed at University Square Shopping Center. The hikes are scheduled 1 to 4 weeks in advance and target hikes which are 10 miles long and climb 2000 ft. We hike at approx. 2.5 MPH, faster or slower depending on terrain.

This week's hike will be close to Greenville: Paris Mountain State Park. We start at the parking area for Shelters A&B https://maps.app.goo.gl/msxHbqj3Y8faATFKA?g_st=ig . We will follow a loop through the upper park on a number of trails, including Sulphur Springs, Kanuga and North Lake Trails.
Near the end of the track, the addition of the Sassafras Loop will be an option for those who may want more miles and EG. The Sassafras Loop would add 2.4 mi. and 360 ft EG (making a total of 12.1 mi. and 1823 EG).
A parking pass is required for the State Park. If you do not have a pass, you nmay wish to car pool with someone who has a pass (many members do).
Depart Publix at 8:00 AM. Hike begins at 8:30 AM from the Shelters A&B parking area. It will be helpful to let us know where you will meet.
Hike Distance = 9.7 mi.
Elevation Gain = 1450 ft.
