Details

Let's get our legs warmed up for bigger weekend hikes. Come join the club for a quick, fast-paced hike at Paris Mountain State Park after work hours. This hike is intended to be fast paced and serve as a workout for those who want to get in better condition for very strenuous weekend hikes or backpacking adventures. This means we will move at an average pace of 2.5 miles per hour.

Consider it a cardio workout that beats going to the gym. We don't take breaks or take in views. We keep moving, so please be sure that you're able to keep up with the group and hike leader.

This hike will start from the "additional" parking lot just past the Brissy Ridge trailhead. (See the map pin for parking location) We'll take the Brissy Ridge trail to Pipsissewa and then go around North Lake. From there, we'll connect with the Kanuga Trail which will lead us to our return juncture at Brissy Ridge.

Please note that the park closes at 8 p.m. so we'll need to start on time and maintain the 2.5 mph pace before the main gate closes. There is a $6 entrance fee unless you have a Park Passport.

Length: 5.2 miles
Elevation gain: 730 feet
Hike pace: 2.5 mph
