(MS) "Dean's List" — Silver Step and Jones Gap Falls in Jones Gap St. Park

(S) — Dean's List: Jones Gap and Silver Step Falls in Jones Gap State Park

This hike begins at the Jones Gap Ranger Station. Meet in the main parking area at 9:00 or car pool from University Square Shopping Center at 8:30. Hike along the Middle Saluda River the entire way along the original road to Brevard built back in the mid 1800's. View Jones Gap Falls and Silver Step (Dargan's) Falls, where we will have lunch. We will return on the same path. Temperatures should be a bit cooler due to the river. Moderate hiking pace.
