EVENT NARRATIVE: This event is part of our Anglesey Coast Camping & Hiking getaway for those attending as members of GO:Heart Of England

In the spirit of touring the island, we plan to walk on different coasts of Anglesey each day. On some days we may do a a single full day walk, on others we may split activity into 2 shorter nearby walks before and after lunch, depending on circumstances.

General Logistics:
Route: We begin by walking to Porth Swtan (Church Bay) along the coast, and after 6.5 miles, will either complete the Carmel Head loop or drive to Cemlyn Bay or Cemaes Bay for a separate coastal stretch. Likely swim stop(s) so bring kit.
Meet: 10:00 for prompt 10:10 start.
Distance: Split walk of up to 10 miles
Start: Unmarked small car park on bend, LL65 4LS, remote lane near Carmel Head (W3W=cyclones.protest.seasons)

Refreshments: Bring drinks and snacks, as required, as we will aim to take a short picnic at a suitable point, and hopefully a pub stop too.
Bring: Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s and dogs (under control) may attend as guests.

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
DAYTRIPPERS: If attending this walk, but not as part of the group getaway, it is imperative you pass your contact details to the walk leader by 20/08/24 in the (unlikely) scenario that start place/time need to be altered at short notice.
RSVP COMMITMENT: Places are limited, so please only RSVP if you fully intend to participate. Withdrawals in the last 24 hours and no-shows are not permitted. This is aimed at preventing late decisions and changes.
