Rural Walk: Merrington and Harmer Hill (Shropshire)
The Shropshire Sanctuaries walk, a brand new location for us, on the northern side of Shrewsbury, off the beaten track and well worth the visit.
Logistics:
Meet: 10:20 check-in, to start within 10 minutes, or earlier if those visible are ready.
Distance: Around 10 miles, adjustable to suit the weather.
Start: Merrington Green Woodland carpark, Merrington Rd, SY4 3QE (OS=SJ465208 or W3W lessening.somebody,renews) which is an offroad carpark with a height barrier 500 metres west of Merrington.
Terrain: Mostly peaceful rolling countryside, but with a few wooded ridges and plateaux, plus the villages of Myddle, Webscott, Harmer Hill and Bomere-Heath.

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is not allowed. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals, and uncommitted waitlisting).
