Local Walk: Landywood & Little Wyrley

Relatively straightforward public transport friendly walk from Landywood Station (half hourly service on the Birmingham - Walsall - Cannock line) mostly across countryside

Logistics:
Meet: 10:45 check-in for prompt start within a few minutes once all visible are ready
Distance: Around 8 miles
Start Point: Landywood Lane car park by Landywood railway station (WS6 6JE) with parking either there or in local streets.
Terrain: Mix of local farmland and towpath, plus an extensive stretch of the beautiful Pelsall Common nature reserve, and along the Forest of Mercia Way.
Refreshments: Bring fluids and picnic lunch, with a lovely pub stop Mid-way at the Fingerpost.

A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is not allowed. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals, and uncommitted waitlisting) so reliable attendees will take priority at future events.
