This weekend, our adventure beckons us to the heart of Eryri, nestled within Snowdonia National Park, the largest of its kind in Wales. Eryri boasts a rugged terrain with towering mountains, tranquil lakes, meandering rivers, and charming villages like Betws y Coed and Beddgelert.
It's also home to the imposing Yr Wydffa, commonly known as Snowdon, standing as the loftiest peak in both Wales and England at a towering height of 3,560 feet (1,085 meters). This magnificent mountain is the crown jewel of our weekend adventure.
Our base for the adventure is the cozy hamlet of Rhyd Ddu, strategically positioned for a quintessential hiking experience.
Within proximity, we have an array of hiking options, including Moel Elio Ridge, Nantle Ridge Moel Hebog, and many more possibilities.COST: £280
INCLUDES: Transport. Two guided hikes, three breakfasts, Two pack lunches, Three nights dormitory accommodation, one evening meal.

Hiking the local classics with our main objective for the weekend is Yr Wydffa (Snowdon) there is also the possibility to hike Moel Elio Ridge, Nantle Ridge Moel Hebog, and many more possibilities.Monday: 10:00 Depart hostel 11:00 free morning in Betws y Coed, 13:30 Depart for St Albans, stopping en route for a break. approx return to St Alban's approx 19:30

Take advantage of the extra bank holiday day and explore the unique region of Cappadocia, a place of whimsical cave houses and geological anomalies sure to delight. Subterranean cities, frescoes adorning early Christian cave churches, and otherworldly landscapes of “fairy chimneys'' await. We will become troglodytes ourselves, staying in a cave hotel accommodation with all the modern amenities. Did I mention that this UNESCO Heritage site also has some fantastic hiking? We’ll explore the valleys and caves and canyons on foot, following the footsteps of Silk Road traders. A great combination between outdoor activities, cultural sites, and fantastic local food and wine.
GRADE: This trek is moderate and suitable for hikers new to multi-day trekking. Light day packs, comfy overnights, daily hikes in the hills. I have worked with a local guide to choose routes rich in history and interesting geology, and a dream for hikers.

Intermediate circular hike, 23 km (14.3 miles), with 250m ascent.
Join us for a beautiful walk through woodlands, gentle hills and picturesque villages of this lovely corner of Essex. We'll start out from Audley End station and the village of Wendens Ambo ('both Wendens' after the villages Great and Little Wenden joined) and a farming community that has likely been here since the 6th or 7th century.
We'll head past traditional thatched cottages and farmland and make our way to pretty Arkesden, with more than 30 Grade II listed buildings, and then Chrishall village, the highest point in Essex with views down to Cambridgeshire. We'll join the Icknield Way, one of the oldest thoroughfares in the country before finishing back in Wendens Ambo, where you're welcome to join us for a drink at the pub.
GRADE: Intermediate circular hike, 23 km (14.3 miles), with 250m ascent/descent and about 6 hours walking time.
COST: £10 organiser fee. Please buy your own train tickets (c.£15 return with a National Rail card or you can buy a group saver ticket with others).
MEETING TIME: 8:30 at London Liverpool Street mainline station outside Upper Crust sandwich shop, by the platforms.
TRAINS: 8.58 train from London Liverpool Street arriving at Audley End at 9.51, starting and finishing the hike back at Audley End station.
WALK STARTS: 10.00 sharp, leaving from Audley End station. If you're meeting us at Audley End station please PM me so that we don't miss you.
LUNCH: Packed lunch
WALK FINISHES: Approx 17:00 at Audley End station
