It's simple, just do it.

This is a non-event, or rather an explanation as to why you should visit the Got Wind and Water site often.

You've heard that the San Francisco Bay Area is an area of many micro-climates. If you want to really experience that, then just go sailing. On any given day, you can travel a few miles across the water and discover just about any sailing condition that you can imagine.

Add to that fact that weather systems cause subtle changes to our microclimates on a daily basis. Our skippers know this, and they will consider the weather and other factors before setting up an event. When you get more than a couple of days away from a potential sailing event, deciding where to go becomes too complicated. So our skippers typically put up new events days before, not weeks before. It takes some of the risk out of planning a sailing event.

So when you see this 'non-event' pop up on the Got Wind and Water website, don't worry, another real event will take it's place soon. You are likely to only have a day (or sometimes just hours) to make up your mind and RSVP. If you've never participated in one before, then come back to the site often, and visit our photo albums. If an event get's posted, then . . .

It's Simple, Just Do It.

RSVP.

    Hi John,

I am coming to San Francisco next week through the weekend for my senior design research in school and as an avid sailor was hoping to get out on the water. The two guys I will be with know how to sail as well and we can do all the rigging and derigging if necessary. I came across your group and thought you might be interested in getting out on the water together.

Hope the season has treated you well and fair winds.

I'd like to invite our Assistant Organizers to edit this 'non-event'. Add your comments, add some pictures, add some links. When we encounter situations where we don't have any upcoming events, then this will be what shows up on the home page. Add to it.
