Great Hyderabad Adventure Club - GHAC is a Not for Profit Adventure and Trekking Club in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
The Club is Affiliated to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation and organises activities in Adventure, Trekking, Hiking, Camping, Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, Outdoors, Nature and Adventure sports activities like Bouldering, Rock climbing and Rappelling to name a few of the activities that are conducted regularly every weekend in Hyderabad, Telangana and Rest of India.
Membership is free and open to anyone over 18 years. Members 13 -17 years may participate with parental consent. Children above 6 - 12 years may participate along with parents only.
Safety is priority for us - Our Outdoor Leaders are professionally trained and certified in their respective fields and know first aid and emergency handling.
Our Mission is to get people together for the purposes of:

Nature Study, Awareness, Care and Conservation.

Outdoor, Adventure & Nature Summer Camp
Duration: 5 Days & 4 nights
Dates: 31 May - 4 June 2023
Age: 8 to 15 years (Boys and Girls).
Location: Campsite, Manneguda, near Vikarabad - 60 Kms from Hyderabad
Idea behind the Summer Camp
Develop Self Reliance, independence, Courage, Spirit of Adventure in the participants.
Guiding Principles
Outdoors, Adventure and camping Experiences comprise of challenging experiences, both physical and emotional, which lead to new awareness, sensitivity and understanding in the students.
In an outdoor camp, learners set out to explore the unknown as a team and in the process rediscover and re-connect with self and the world around developing Intrapersonal, interpersonal, ekistic and ecosystemic relationships.
Objectives of the Camp
• To generate a sense of belongingness and interconnectedness amongst children and nature.
• To rekindle the child-nature bond and zeal towards outdoor and natural surroundings.
• To propel their learning, observing, listening, and feeling skills.
• To take up outdoor and adventure challenges in a safe and encouraging enviroment.
• To inculcate the spirit of adventure.
Life-skills:
Focus: - Self Reliance, Self-Control, Perspective-Taking, Effective Communication- Listening , Making Connections, Creative Thinking, Taking on Challenges, Self-Directed - Engaged Learning, Resilience and adaptability, Environmental protection, Health and Hygiene.
Value Education:
Time management, Self-Care, Empathy, Courage, Collaboration, Friendship, Integrity, Trust, Independence and Interdependence.

Summer Camp Activities:
Activities will include Nature and Adventure based Learning, Experiential Learning actvities, Bushcraft and Cultural Activities.

Camp Outcomes:
The Outdoor Summer Camp gives children the opportunity to connect with the natural world and learn all the outdoor skills they have been missing all these days.
The Children will learn practical outdoor and life skills turning them into confident, creative and self-reliant individuals.

Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is situated in the Pandarkawada district of the Yavatmal area which is an isolated national park in Maharashtra. This is bordering Adilabad District. It encloses an area of[masked] sq. km.
The Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary found its name from the ‘Goddess Tipai’ that is situated near the Tipeshwar village in the sanctuary area.
Tentative Itinerary:
23rd June, Friday:
Start by Train to Adilabad at 8.40pm
24th June, Saturday
Reach Adilabad by 6.30am.
Move to Hotel in Tipeswar – checkin. Have breakfast and Rest.
Post Lunch Go for the 1st Safari at 2.30pm.
By 6.30pm we will be back to our hotel.
Have dinner and retire for the night.
25th June, 2023 Sunday
We will go for the 2nd safari from 6- 9.30am. By 10.30am we will be back to the hotel.
Post lunch, checkout of the hotel, go for safari.
Post safari is over move to Adilabad.
Have dinner and take the night train back to Hyderabad. Train Dep. 9.10pm.

Reach Secunderabad station by 5.40am.

At the base of the Mountain is the serene Tungarli Lake surrounded by waterfalls while Kondhavi Caves can be found on top of the fort. There is a beautiful temple of Kal-Bhairavi between the twin forts. The view from top of the Fort is panoramic comprising Ulhās River, Duke’s Nose,
Fort View in early morning.
Kondhavi Caves
Although there was an earth quake in the early 1900s many stupas, the front entrance and the floor of the caves were damaged. But what remains intact is the beautiful Chaitya that welcomes you to the rock cut caves that were created around 200 BC

Friday: 22:30hrs: Train from Hyderabad to Lonavala
Saturday:
10:30hrs Reach Lonavala (Local transport to base Village TBD)
11:30 hrs Reach Base Village
12:00hrs Start trek to Rajmachi Fort
13:00hrs Reach the kondane caves and spend some time.
15.00hrs start from kondane caves.
21.00hrs Reach the udhevadi and retire for the night
Sunday:
06:00 hrs Wake-Up and get ready to witness the beauty of twin fortresses Shrivardhan Fort and Manaranjan Fort.
09:00 hrs get back to base and have breakfast
09:30hrs to 11:30hrs Trek through the most scenic Route -Ulhas valley and reach Lonavala.
16:00hrs Start from Lonavala to Hyderabad

Things to bring: [ All are must ] and wrap everything in polythene so that they do not get wet..
- A Rucksack / haversack, in other words a bag u can put all your stuff in and hang on your back, try to keep the bag less then 8 kgs with 3 lts water
- wind cheater/sweater.
- Trekking /sport shoes with extra pair of socks [Preferably shoes which cover till your ankle]
- Torch / Flashlight /headlight (we might be doing night trek)
- 1 track pants/ loose trousers - full length & full sleeve T Shirt and one pair of dry clothes.
- Mosquito repellent.
- Toiletries required.
8)ORS/energy drinks and energy bars/chikki's.
9)sun screen lotion and sun cap. - Sleeping bags or two blankets are must.
- Photo Id (any valid card with your photograph and signature on it)

Few things in between are not planned and these things are must in an adventure trek.
Note: Most of us may not be serious trekkers but all of us have equal responsibility in protecting our beloved earth. GHAC earnestly requests all its members to be socially responsible whilst the treks and avoid any littering, shouting when in wild or causing anything that would disturb the normal ecology. Try to avoid plastics as much as possible, especially plastic smiles.
Important Instructions:
- No smoking and no alcohol
- No littering, no pollution of water
- This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable.
- Ladies and gents accommodation is separate in tents.
- Food will be mostly vegetarian
- We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers
- If you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
- If you can't swim don't go deep into the water
