Starting point is the main Entrance of Mohican state park on Route 3. As you pull in the entrance there is a parking lot to the right before for the check in gate. This is the starting location for the hike. If this parking lot is full, the NEW visitor center has parking down the drive to the left.

2pm Hike: We will hike the short loop of the mountain bike trail, Starting at the mountain bike trailhead we will go clockwise on the short loop. We will see a beautiful valley and pine tree lined area as we walk this picturesque section of the mountain bike trail. 4.6 Miles, 500 feet elevation and about 2 hours. Moderate 2-2.5 mph pace. Nobody left behind.

4-4:30pm (approximately) Dinner: Trails End Restaurant, 3052 State Route 3 · Loudonville, OH 44842 · 419-994-5561 (grab a light dinner before heading downtown. There will be food trailers and a couple coffee shops at the market but thought this might be a better option for the group first)

5:30-6pm (approximately) Mohican Christkindlmarkt
Inspired by Europe’s centuries-old Christmas markets, the Mohican Christkindlmarkt is bringing cozy winter charm to downtown Loudonville this December! Wander through glowing lights and wooden cabins filled with local artisans, handmade gifts, fresh foods, baked goods, imported German decor, and more.

Warm up by the fire pits, sip something festive under the village’s DORA (yes, you can enjoy adult beverages outdoors!), and take in the sights and sounds of the season.

I'm guessing less than 2 hours here to walk the streets and sip a coffee or beverage.

8pm Landoll's Castle Christmas Light Display
After everyone is done shopping, we will be carpooling to the Landoll's Castle for the Christmas Decorations and lights. 15 Minute drive south of Loudonville. There is a 10 dollar per car fee and it is a walk thru event. Wrangle your friends and plan who is riding with you and get a pass early online or wait and purchase on site.

Stay as long as you want. Possibly go inside Copper mug for coffee if it isn't busy or just hang out.

Meeting time 8:30 am in Front of the Visitor Center for Hocking hills State Park. We will head over and get in line for the hikes.

Hikes are lead to the Upper falls area and then after that we will be on our own. We will hike on to Cedar Falls and have some bean soup and corn bread (donations appreciated) and then off to Ash cave. From Ash cave, we will catch a shuttle back to the beginning.

I've never done this but hear it is a really fun event.

Stop at a local establishment on the way back for dinner.

I'm told this can be a slow walk but enjoyable. Thousands of people on the trail.

Bring Trekking poles, ice spikes, water, snacks and dress appropriately.
