Welcome to GVL Sandlot Baseball! ⚾
GVL Sandlot is a casual, community-driven baseball group for adults in the Greenville area who want to get back on the field, meet new people, and play some good old-fashioned baseball.
Played growing up? Played competitively? Haven't picked up a glove in years? Doesn't matter, you are welcome.
Our goal is simple: create a relaxed, inclusive space where people of different levels can play together, sharpen their skills, and enjoy the game without the pressure of a formal league.
We are looking for people who have some basic baseball experience: can throw and catch comfortably, swing a bat, and already have a glove. You don’t need to be an advanced player, just familiar with the fundamentals, ready to compete, comfortable playing a pickup game, and ready to have fun.
Let me put it differently, the goal is to keep things casual and welcoming while still having enough familiarity with the game to play smoothly and keep things moving.
What to Expect:
Batting practice & throwing sessions
Pickup-style games (provided we have enough players)
A relaxed yet competitive atmosphere
Casual meetups that develop as the group grows
We'll typically get together on evenings and weekends, with format and location shaped by group size and interest as we grow.
No tryouts. No complicated schedules. No need to be an elite player. Just bring a glove, show up ready to play, and help us build a real baseball community here in Greenville.
