Grief, Loss & Starting Over — Madison

Life can feel very different when you’ve lost your parents, close family, a relationship, or the support system you once relied on. Sometimes the hardest grief comes from losing not only a person, but the life you thought you were going to have.

This group is for adults navigating grief, breakups, divorce, major life changes, loneliness, or life without a strong family/support system. Maybe you’re mourning a parent. Maybe you’re mourning a relationship. Maybe you’re mourning the future you pictured — marriage, family, a shared home, stability, or simply the version of life you thought would be yours.

This is not a therapy or counseling group. There is no pressure to share personal details or talk about grief at every event. The goal is friendship, community, and having people to do normal life with while you’re rebuilding.

Events may include coffee, casual dinners, brunch, walks, board games, holiday gatherings, and other low-key opportunities to connect with people who understand that starting over can be lonely and complicated.

Whether your loss happened recently or years ago, you’re welcome here. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t just what we lost — it’s figuring out who we are and where we belong afterward.

You don’t have to do every part of that alone.
