What we’re about
Welcome to Hackathons Denver, the premier community for innovative thinkers, problem solvers, and tech enthusiasts in the vibrant city of Denver!
Our group is dedicated to the exciting world of hackathons, where the ultimate goal is to bring ideas to life through the development of functional software or hardware within a defined timeframe. With each hackathon, we explore various focuses, from specific programming languages and operating systems to applications, APIs, and demographic group dynamics of programmers.

LambdaConf - Unchain Your Mind
LambdaConf returns in its first edition after the pandemic, reimagined as a multi-disciplinary developer conference featuring thought-provoking, entertaining, and mind-blowing talks and workshops that will forever change the way you write software.
The conference returns with the distinctive features that made it famous, including a warm and inviting atmosphere, all-original content from legends and fresh faces, a unique fusion of topics from both research and industry, a picturesque setting in the mountainous Rockies, gourmet catering, free child care, and the most incredible conference swag ever created.Although you will still find plenty of content on functional programming, you will also discover mind-expanding talks on new languages, new virtual machines, new technologies, new frameworks, new paradigms, and new theory and practice behind the hottest and latest developments in software development.
Well-known for its organized activities such as hiking and craft beer tasting, LambdaConf 2024 introduces a new conference innovation called The Lovelace Enigma, a new kind of Escape Room for conference attendees, an engaging, immersive, and exciting puzzle crafted by this year’s Puzzle Master, that is sure to become the most loved and talked about conference experience of 2024.About LambdaConf

Join us for the Grand Finale Hackathon at LambdaConf hosted by Restate on May 8th in Estes Park, Colorado! We're inviting developers skilled in TypeScript, Java, and Kotlin. Are you yearning back to the days when developing applications was simple because you did not have to worry about lost network messages and double writes? Then this hackathon is for you! You will explore the new possibilities of building modern reliable applications based on Restate. It should be as simple as building a PHP app back in the 2000s. Your efforts will be rewarded with amazing prizes, including an iPad for the top app. Join us, and LET’s RESTATE how people develop modern applications from now on.
About Restate
Restate allows you to build modern reliable and scalable applications with ease. Almost any application is a distributed system, nowadays, since they are composed of different communicating components. With every component, the number of possible failure scenarios increases Network partitions, hardware failures, timeouts, race conditions, etc. Restate lets you write distributed applications that are resilient to these failures. It does this by providing a distributed, durable version of common building blocks (durable functions, RPCs, queues, promises, and timers, K/V state, and effects). For these building blocks, Restate handles failure recovery, idempotency, state, and consistency. This way, you can implement otherwise tricky patterns in a few lines of code without worrying about these concerns.
Find out more about Restate and check the docs here.
